Commercial HVAC questions
What areas do you cover?
We are based near Towcester and regularly support customers across Northamptonshire, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire. We also deliver selected projects nationwide.
Do you work with domestic customers as well as commercial and industrial premises?
Yes. We undertake domestic air-conditioning work as well as commercial and industrial projects for offices, gyms, factories, dealerships, retail and healthcare environments.
How much does an air conditioning installation cost?
For a single-split system with a pipework run of up to 10 metres, a typical installation costs £2,000–£3,000 per unit. This guide price includes the equipment, copper pipework, insulation, electrical cable, labour, trunking, fittings and brackets, as well as system evacuation, pressure testing and commissioning. The final cost depends on the required system capacity, access, electrical requirements and site conditions, so we will confirm it following a survey.
How much does it cost to service an air conditioning unit?
Servicing typically costs £70–£90 per unit, depending on access, location, parking and the system’s condition. A minimum visit charge of £125 + VAT applies when servicing one unit. If specialist access equipment is required, we’ll assess this and quote separately.
Do you offer free site surveys and quotations?
Yes. We offer free site surveys and no-obligation quotations. The survey allows us to assess the space, access, system requirements and installation conditions before recommending an appropriate solution.
What types and brands of air-conditioning systems do you work on?
We work on split, multi-split and VRV or VRF air-conditioning systems from major manufacturers, including Daikin, Mitsubishi Electric and Fujitsu. Contact us with the make, model and any fault information if you need help with an existing system.
Can you maintain systems you did not install?
In many cases, yes. We will first establish the equipment, its condition and any available service history before recommending the appropriate maintenance approach.
How often should air conditioning be serviced?
The appropriate frequency depends on the equipment, how heavily it is used, the environment and the manufacturer’s requirements. We assess the system and recommend a practical schedule rather than applying the same interval to every installation.
Do you offer planned preventative maintenance contracts?
Yes. We provide planned preventative maintenance contracts tailored to the equipment and how the property is used. Visits can include cleaning, condition checks, operational testing, reporting and relevant F-Gas record keeping.
Do you provide emergency breakdown support?
Existing planned maintenance contract customers receive priority breakdown support. We also accept other repair enquiries, which our team will review and schedule.
Can you replace or upgrade an existing air-conditioning system?
Yes. We can assess the existing equipment, discuss whether repair or replacement is appropriate and design an upgrade around the building’s current use and requirements.
What happens during an air-conditioning installation project?
We begin with a survey and system design, then provide a quotation covering the proposed equipment and work. Once approved, we arrange installation, pressure testing, evacuation, commissioning and handover.
Can air conditioning provide heating as well as cooling?
Yes. Many modern air-conditioning systems are reversible heat pumps, allowing them to provide both cooling and heating. We can advise whether this is suitable for the space and how it will be used.
Can planned maintenance help with F-Gas compliance?
Yes. Where the regulations apply to the equipment, our maintenance service can include the relevant checks and record keeping. The exact requirements depend on the system and its refrigerant charge.
How do I arrange a quotation?
Send us an enquiry with the building location, the service you need and any useful system details. Our team will review the information and contact you to discuss the next step.
